'Alien thigh bone' picture spotted on Mars by conspiracy theorists - Unexplained Mysteries

A mysterious object on Mars that looks like an 'alien thigh bone' is getting alien hunters and conspiracy theorists excited.

People following the progress of the Mars rover have been keeping a keen eye out for any unusual pictures beamed back from its onboard MastCam.

On August 14, eagle-eyed people at alien conspiracy site UFO-blogger.com saw this image of what looks like a thigh bone lying on the dusty surface.

It is the latest in a string of sightings of fossilised bones that enthusiasts have spotted as Curiosity roams the surface of the red planet.

Blogger gspat from the Above Top Secret website: "Normally, I see rocks as rocks. For the most part. This can't be a thigh bone can it?"



Another commentator on the some website said: "We know that it's very likely that Mars had life and that it's again possible that life evolved into large creatures that could have left fossils and bones behind.

"We know that with all the impacts of meteors on mars and the intense dust storms that these fossils could be unearthed at any time. So this is very possibly a bone."

Planet watchers say they have seen bones resembling a cat, iguana and dinosaurs in the last couple of years.

There has also been sightings of a mysterious light and something that resembled a toy boat.

Curiosity has been on Mars since August 6, 2012, after an eight-month journey to reach the planet.

In February the rover sent back incredible pictures of Earth taken from the surface of Mars 34million miles away.
